Tenor Saxophonist Alan Sherwin Washington DC

Alan Sherwin has performed at DC-area clubs including Blues Alley, Twins Jazz, HR57, and the late lamented One Step Down and King of France Tavern.

His original composition and arrangement
"A Bad Day In Gubbio" was frequently performed by Thad Wilson's big band, and the award-winning Larry Brown Quintet recorded his composition "What Is This?"

Alan studied with Paul Plummer (known for his work with the great George Russell), Marc Copland, and Paul Carr.

He is also a professional software developer.
